What to Expect on your First Visit

We at Peak Anesthesia and Pain Management are committed to treating patients with chronic back, neck, and musculoskeletal pain disorders. The sole mission of our practice is to reduce your pain and get you back into action using non-operative techniques. The vast majority of painful conditions that involve the spine, joints, and muscles do not require surgical treatment and too often surgery is the first option many patients are offered.

The first step in any treatment plan is an accurate diagnosis. This necessitates a thorough history and physical exam and our board certified physicians and staff take the time do both. Further testing may be required including imaging. Once a diagnosis is established our physicians will formulate a treatment plan that addresses each problem. This may include physical therapy, exercise, medications, or interventional procedures. Our goal is to provide each patient with a set of tools they can use to help manage their pain with less reliance on long term medication use and allow them to avoid dependency on opioid medications.

At your first visit to our office you will meet with one of our Board Certified Physicians who will begin to establish the best treatment plan for your individual condition.

Please plan to spend at least one hour at our office for your first visit. We ask that you bring in your New Patient Packet completed before you arrive. This packet can be found under our forms tab on the front page or we would be happy to mail or email it out to you.

We will also need you to bring your insurance card, photo ID, any imaging you may have, and an update medication list to this appointment.

Please remember if you are currently being prescribed any medications from another physician that you will need to ask them for at least a 30 day prescription of your current medications, as our physicians will not prescribe any medications at the first visit.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your appointment.
